Personality Testing
We believe that personality testing, while not the only tool that should be used, is an effective method for determining the likely success of job candidates in different positions. We have found tests that we firmly believe will help you to make critical choices in your hiring process.
Strength Finder
What is your potential employee truly excellent at? This personality test is widely recognized as one of the most accurate and comprehensive tests available in the market today. This test should be used in conjunction with the leadership test or the sales test depending on which type of position you’re hiring for. This test should also be used as a stand alone for any non-sales related positions as well.
Leadership Test
There are those who follow and there are those that lead. Before you choose to promote your best sales people into a position of leadership make sure they have the skill set necessary to succeed or you will lose a great sale professional and gain a bad manager! It is a common mistake to assume successful sales people can lead a team and that can be a critical error. Imagine taking Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire out of the lineup during their historic homerun race to make them batting coaches. Make more sense now?
Sales Test
Sales personality tests can be indispensible and amazingly accurate. I once had a job candidate who begrudgingly took this test and then called me the next day. Having already read the results of the test that were only sent to me I was amazed when the candidate told me he didn’t care what the test said. He said he was just one of those guys that sees a potential prospect and gets out of the car and goes and sells. I was amazed because that was EXACLTY what the test reported. I hired him immediately. This test should also be mandatory for all of your current sales staff to help understand their strengths as well as all potential sales job candidates.
